Megan Moseley PT, LMT

My interest in Physical Therapy as a career started at the age of 12 when my mother took me to volunteer at the skilled nursing center where she worked. I was hooked immediately. Saint Louis University was my college of choice, and I was admitted to their Physical Therapy Program in 1985. After graduation in 1989, I took my first job at Rush Presbyterian Saint Luke Medical Center in Chicago. In my quest to move to Oregon, I took a traveling therapist position between October 1990, and May 1991. That didn't work out the way I planned, so I decided to move to Oregon on my own. I took a position at The Backcare Center of Eugene where I worked until I started Bodywise Physical Therapy in 1995.   I feel fortunate that I've had the opportunity to get to develop a unique approach that is highly effective. I love my work and appreciate that I get to spend quality time getting to know my clients, and my peers.

In addition to my clinical practice, I started Become Bodywise Consulting. My mission is to work as a consultant for businesses interested in creating a healthy work environment by educating their employees about body mechanics and injury prevention.

Over the years I have had the opportunity to do a number of public speaking engagements including the 2003 and 2005 Oregon Pain Society Conference, the 2005 and 2006 Western Oregon Woman's Conference and the 2006 Occupational Therapy Association of Oregon State Conference.

I worked at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece as the Physical Therapist for the American Pentathlon Team.

In my spare time I have written a book to teach people how to "Become Bodywise", and am in the grueling process of trying to get published.

Cycle Oregon brought me on board as their Physical Therapist in 2008. My work with them includes writing website articles, email support for riders with questions about training/injuries, teaching injury prevention and stretching classes on the rides as well as offering nightly injury consultations and treatment.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and Otis my blue great dane, art (creating and appreciating), traveling, gardening, cycling…both kinds; pedal and motor, weight training, reading, and going to the Oregon coast.

My professional career started as a tool and dye maker in Chicago. After a few years I realized this was not for me. At the age of 25 I began college uncertain of what direction I was going. After studying a variety of subjects, I soon realized it was the sciences I enjoyed the most, and decided to pursue a career in physical therapy. I was accepted into The Chicago Medical School Physical Therapy Program in 1992. It was there I was introduced to the many avenues I could take as a therapist. I knew right away it was outpatient orthopedics that I wanted to pursue. In 1994 I graduated and moved to Oregon where I worked at a variety of outpatient orthopedic clinics. In 2001 I joined Bodywise Physical Therapy. My interests outside of work include spending time with my dogs Lucy, Otis and Humphrey, exercising, gardening, traveling, reading and learning to play the guitar.

Jessica Dufault DPT,  ATC

I was born and spent the first eighteen years of my life in Kokomo, Indiana.  In high school, I had the opportunity to become a student athletic trainer.  I spent many hours volunteering with the high school and semi-professional football teams with a staff athletic trainer from a local Physical Therapy clinic.  From there, I landed a summer position as a Physical Therapy tech.  I knew Physical Therapy was the job for me!  After high school I attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.  During my four years there I became a certified athletic trainer and had the opportunity to work with various athletic teams at the university and local high schools.  In 2003, I received a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology.  One month after graduating from Indiana University I started a nine semester Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.  During this time, I did clinical affiliations in Houston, TX, Galveston, TX and Asheville, NC.  I traveled quite a bit throughout the Pacific Northwest during short breaks from school and knew I would ultimately end up in Oregon.  I am grateful for the opportunity to have become part of the Bodywise team and have come to appreciate our philosophy and approach in the Physical Therapy profession.  In my free time, I enjoy biking, hiking and camping with my husband Nate and spending time with friends.

During my time as an undergraduate at the U of O, I worked as a personal trainer, cycle instructor and Fitness Manager for 24 Hour Fitness, spending a total of 5 years in the fitness industry before pursuing my graduate degree in physical therapy.  My professional interests include sports physical therapy and orthopedics, exercise physiology, anatomy, biomechanics and the role of yoga and Pilates in rehabilitation.  I am certified in the Graston Technique of soft tissue mobilization.  In my spare time, I compete in a range of running, triathlon and duathlon events from 5K to Half Ironman races, and I enjoy running, cycling, swimming, hiking, backpacking, skiing, mountain biking, yoga, a variety of sports, art, cooking and reading.

Originally from New Mexico, I graduated from UNM with a BS in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition. Not ready to enter the world of graduate school I spent some time traveling and working as a rehabilitation aid for a hospital. It was here that I was introduced to Physical Therapy and felt that it was a perfect fit! Oregon had always intrigued me. Pacific University in Portland gave me the opportunity to travel and live in Oregon. It was there that I completed a 3 year Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. Throughout my training at Pacific, I had the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of settings, quickly realizing that outpatient orthopedics was for me. As a new member of the Bodywise team and a new resident of Eugene I am exploring and enjoying all that the city has to offer. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, camping, gardening, playing and listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
